George Washington Foreman Jr. | Hillsborough Sheriff | Arrests

When arrested, he was found to have a small amount of marijuana, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A teacher at the Woodmont Charter School has been accused of inappropriately touching one of his students, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

George Washington Foreman Jr., 28, of Tampa, was charged with one count each of lewd or lascivious molestation and possession of cannabis. The 14-year-old girl was a student at the Woodmont Charter School where Foreman was a teacher. She was one of his students, deputies said.

On April 22, Hillsborough County prosecutors notified the court they would not pursue the charge of lewd and lascivious molestation against Foreman. According to Hillsborough court records, the case was stricken from court records on April 24.

Deputies said that, about 1 a.m. May 06, Foreman arrived at the student’s apartment complex in his vehicle after exchanging emails with her. She met Foreman in the apartment parking lot where the two hugged and kissed each other.

During the hugging, Foreman’s hands were on the girl’s hips and slid down onto her buttocks. The girl told deputies they kissed and hugged four times and each time, Foreman’s hands slid onto her buttocks.

Detectives turned the investigation over to the State Attorney’s Office, which issued an arrest warrant. On Tuesday (Dec. 19), Foreman was arrested at his residence without incident and was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
