Hillsborough Deputies: Argument over Woman Led to Fatal Shooting

A Tampa man has been charged with murder, Hillsborough deputies said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Tampa man has been charged with murder in the Thursday (Oct. 26) fatal shooting of a teen, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office.

Reynaldo Charles Hernandez, 20, of Tampa, was charged with second degree murder with a firearm in connection with the shooting death of Tamichael Broadnax, 17.

Deputies were called to a shooting about 11:43 p.m. Thursday that happened at 7518 Camarina Calle. When they arrived, they found Mr. Broadnax, who was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Deputies said they learned that Hernandez and Mr. Broadnax had been involved in a verbal argument over a woman. They argument became violents,
