Hernando Sheriff Investigates Bomb Threat

The device was rendered safe by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad.

BROOKSVILLE – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat at a drug store.

The threat happened about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 28) at the Oak Hill Pharmacy, 10101 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. The device left behind by the suspect was rendered safe by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad. It will be taken to the state lab for further analysis.

The suspect fled the scene in an older model green pickup truck, possibly a Ford.
