Hernando Doctor Accused of Dating Violence

The incident happened while he was on duty as a physician at Oak Hill Hospital, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.

HERNANDO COUNTY – Deputies have arrested an Access Health Care physician and accused him of violence against a woman, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.

Rashid Ismail Saba, 48, of Land O’ Lakes, was charged with one count of dating violence.

Deputies said that, in July, they were assigned a case involving allegations made Saba, an Access Health Care physician.

According to deputies, the investigation revealed that Saba pushed, grabbed, and shook the woman against her will while he was on duty as a physician at Oak Hill Hospital. During this altercation, the woman sustained bruising to her forearm. The altercation was a result of Saba’s allegedly being angry with her for being in contact with other men and one of his other paramours.

The incident was reported to hospital administration immediately. As a result of this incident, hospital administrators have since removed Saba from seeing patients at the hospital.
