Deputies are searching for the man suspected of manufacturing the methamphetamine.

SPRING HILL – Hernando sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspected of running a methamphetamine lab in a Spring Hill retirement community.

The suspect, Brian Vincent, 34, has active felony warrants against him for charges of  manufacturing of methamphetamine with children being present, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a listed chemical and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they received a tip that a meth lab was in the home at 11442 Deercroft Court in the Wellington subdivision. The homeowner allowed deputies into the home where they said they found several items in the garage that indicated methamphetamine was being manufactured there. Deputies immediately had the occupants of the residence evacuate and contacted Hernando
County Fire Rescue and the vice and narcotics unit. Two young children were in the home.

Deputies safely removed the items from the house. After investigation, deputies said they determined that Vincent, a relative of the resident, recently began staying at the home. Deputies said Vincent was the person who was manufacturing the methamphetamine. Vincent was not at the house during the investigation.

Deputies said they collected a total of 625.2 grams of liquid methamphetamine and crystal methamphetamine from the garage area along with many different forms of paraphernalia utilized for the manufacturing. The Department of Children of Families was contacted about the children.
