The cocaine was worth about $1.2 million, FHP troopers say.

BUSHNELL – A traffic stop for illegally tinted windows ended with the arrest of a Ruskin woman on a charge of trafficking in cocaine, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Elizabeth Espinoza, 27, of Ruskin, was charged with one count each of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell Cocaine, Cocaine Trafficking, and Keeping a Public Nuisance Structure for Drug Activity.

The FHP said that, about 12:36 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 7), troopers on routine patrol spotted a 2016 red Dodge Journey traveling south on I-75 near the 310 milepost in Sumter County with illegal window tint.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver Espinoza, who, they said, became overtly nervous.

Troopers called in Flip, an FHP K-9, who alerted to the SUV. A probable cause search of the SUV revealed 12 kilos of cocaine, worth about $1.2 million dollars, hidden within the dashboard and other voids in the rear of the SUV.
