Estranged Husband of Kidnapped Woman Accused of Attempted Murder

Hillsborough sheriff’s deputies added the charge of attempted murder to the other crimes Trevor Summers is accused of committing.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A man who is accused of kidnapping his estranged wife is now also accused of trying to murder her, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Trevor Summers, 39, of of 11737 Newberry Grove Loop in Riverview, was charged with kidnapping, grand theft, domestic violence and attempted murder in the first degree.

Summers is accused of kidnapping his estranged wife, Alisa Summers, 37, on Saturday (March 11). Ms. Summers was found Monday (March 13) at a resort in Ruskin. She had a knife wound to one of her wrists, Hillsborough Sheriff David Gee said.

Summers, who was with her, had a knife wound to his throat, Gee said. Summers was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he was treated. After he was released, he was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
