The robbery at the Walgreens, 7305 Spring Hill Drive, happened about 9:06 p.m. Oct. 30. Witnesses told deputies that a man wearing a black homemade ski mask, black sweat shirt and black pants entered the store and demanded the clerk give him money from the register. The clerk noted the man kept one hand in his jacket pocket making it appear as if he had a firearm.

A witness who saw the confrontation tried to intervene by blocking the exit as the suspect attempted to leave. As the suspect tried to run by the witness, the customer punched him in the face in an attempt to get him to stop. After getting punched, the suspect continued to run out of the store and headed west on Spring Hill Drive.

While a K-9 track was unsuccessful in locating the suspect, deputies found several pieces of evidence. Using DNA collected from evidence at the scene, deputies said they identified McLemore as the robbery suspect.
