Deputies: Oldsmar Man Performed Sex Acts on His Dog
The man video recorded himself performing the sex acts and posted the video and pictures on the internet, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
OLDSMAR – An Oldsmar man is accused of video recording himself performing sex acts on his Siberian Husky, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Christian Stewart Oscar Nichols, 21, of Oldsmar, was charged with one count of Aggravated Animal Cruelty. Late Tuesday (Feb. 12), deputies charged Nichols with 10 additional criminal counts of Prohibition of Certain Acts in Connection with Obscene Materials.
The new charges are a result of numerous videos found by detectives inside Nichols’ bedroom. Detectives said the videos depict unidentified persons having inappropriate sexual activity with dogs.
Deputies began their investigation began Jan. 25 after a citizen living in another state contacted Pinellas County Animal Services regarding video and photographs on the internet of a man having sexual contact
with a dog. Pinellas County Animal Services notified the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives obtained copies of the video and the photographs.
The video shows images of a man dressed in a black and white Husky dog costume. The costumed man is seen in the video using his body parts and other implements to have inappropriate sexual contact with a Siberian Husky dog that was clearly in distress, according to deputies. At one point during the video, the dog tries to run away and the man responds by striking the dog with a sex toy.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives tracked the video and photographs to Nichols.
On Monday (Feb. 11), detectives talked with Nichols at his home. They said Nichols admitted he made the video with his Siberian Husky, Ember, and shared it on the internet.
Nichols was arrested. Pinellas County Animal Services responded to the home and removed Ember and a second dog from Nichols’ home.
