Deputies: New Port Richey Man Intentionally Rammed House with SUV

Timoth Alan Farmer | Pasco Sheriff | Arrests

The home was temporarily condemned because of damage caused by the crash, deputies say.

NEW PORT RICHEY – A New Port Richey man was arrested Monday (Oct. 14) after he intentionally rammed an SUV into a house, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

No one was injured in the crash. Pasco building inspectors temporarily condemned the home as a result of the damage.

Timothy Alan Farmer, 47, of New Port Richey, was charged with two counts of Resisting an Officer/Obstructing Without Violence and one count each of Burglary to a Dwelling, Occupied; Criminal Mischief; Violation of Pre-Trial Release; Driving with a License Suspended or Revoked; and Driving Under the Influence Accident Property Damage.

Deputies said Farmer admitted he intentionally drove into the house and that there was a longstanding feud between him and the occupants of the home.

Deputies said they were called to the house about 12:21 p.m. When they arrived, deputies said they found Farmer behind the wheel of a Ford Explorer. The back end of the SUV was backed into the home. The SUV was not running but the keys were in the ignition.

Farmer had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath; was slurring his speech; had bloodshot, watery eyes; and had trouble balancing when walking. Deputies said he was speaking “loudly and randomly.” He refused to follow deputies’ directions and tried to twist away when they tried to detain him. Later, he pushed deputies, who said they twice took him to the ground.

Deputies said he refused to take a breathalyzer test.
