Deputies Investigate Hudson Shooting

A homeowner told deputies he fired shots at a man who charged him.

HUDSON – Deputies are investigating a Sunday (April 8) shooting at a home in Hudson, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies answered a call to a home on Brenda Street where a 53-year-old resident told them that a group of men showed up at his house starting a confrontation. According to preliminary information, the resident told deputies the men were yelling and broke out his windows.

He called 911, retrieved a revolver, and told the men to leave his property. When one of the men charged at him, he fired several shots at him. The men all fled in a truck.

Shortly after, deputies said, a 37-year-old man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The case remains under investigation.
