He was arrested in Polk County early this morning, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TAMPA – A man accused of shooting another man to death was arrested this morning (Aug. 20) in Polk County, the Tampa Police Department said.

Dejonta Jerome Felder, 22, was charged with charged with second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. He was wanted in connection with the July 2 shooting death of Julius R. Carter, 32.

Tampa police said Mr. Carter was shot several times and then fled to the backyard of a residence in the 3400 block of N Phillips Street where he succumbed to his injuries.
