Deputies Make Second Arrest in Hudson Apartment Murder

One man died and a woman was critically injured in a shooting caused when a drug deal went bad in an apartment complex parking lot, Pasco sheriff’s deputies said. Deputies are continuing the search for a second man.

HUDSON – Deputies have arrested the girlfriend of a man accused of killing another in the parking lot of the Ridgestone apartment complex, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Alexas Marie Gregas, 19, of Hudson, was charged with one count each of third degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (vehicle). Gregas is the girlfriend.of Anthony Blount, who has been arrested. (See related story here.)

Gregas and Blount are charged in connection with the Wednesday (Aug. 15) shooting death of Jamarquez Codling of Dade City and shooting of Ariel Felder of Zephyrhills, who is in critical condition after being shot in the back of the head.

Deputies said Gregas arrived at the drug deal in the parking lot of the Ridgestone Apts. in Hudson in a red Mitsubishi Outlander. A witness saw her handing a handgun to Blount through the window of her Mitsubishi after which she waited as a lookout.

When Mr. Codling and another man, Kiyondrea Redfield, tried to rob Blount, Gregas rammed her vehicle into the side of her boyfriend’s Dodge Durango. Mr. Codling and Redfield then got out of the Durango and ran to the white Nissan sedan that they arrived in. The Nissan was driven by Felder.

Gregas then rammed her vehicle into the driver’s side of the Nissan before leaving the area, deputies said.

Redfield is still at large and there is a warrant for his arrest for second degree murder and felony possession of marijuana. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
