One Dead after Shooting in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg police are asking anyone with information to contact officers.

ST. PETERSBURG – Police here are investigating a Monday (May 15) shooting that left one man dead.

Timothy Karl Davis, Jr., 34, died at the scene.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 23rd Street S. The St. Petersburg Police Department said officers arrived about 90 seconds after receiving
the call of a shooting. The officers administered CPR until Fire Rescue Units arrived and took over. Despite those efforts, Mr.Davis died.

Officers said they were told that Mr. Davis had been involved in a dispute with another person in the past few days. Officers would like to speak to anyone who knows about this to determine whether it was related to the shooting. Investigators urge anyone with information to please contact police.
