Cheerleading Coach Accused of Sexual Activity with Teen, 16

He admitted sending sexually explicit pictures to the girl, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – An Oldsmar man has been accused of sexual activity with a 16-year-old Hillsborough girl, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Victor Martin Valenty, 28, of Oldsmar has been charged with 10 counts of traveling to meet a minor, and one count each of distributing obscene material to a minor, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and obscene communication cause allow use of computer pornography.

Valenty is a cheerleading coach at Storm All Stars in Brandon, where he met the girl. Between March or April 2016 and May 2017, deputies said the teen received multiple sexually explicit images of Valenty through SnapChat. Between August 2016 through May 2017, deputies said, Valenty traveled from his  Oldsmar residence in Pinellas County to different locations in Hillsborough to pick up the teen and take her back to his home to engage in sexual activity.

Deputies said Valenty admitted sending pictures to and receiving pictures from the girl. He also stated he drove from his residence in Pinellas County to pick her up in Hillsborough County and drove her back to his residence.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting its own investigation. Further charges may be pending.

While no other victims have been identified at this time, detectives ask that anyone who thinks they are a victim or has any information about other victims to contact the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
