HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – Three brothers have bee accused of vandalizing Steinbrenner High School in the early morning of Nov. 25, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Ray Martinez, 26; Bryce Allen Martinez, 19; and Seth Michael Martinez, 17, all of Tampa, were each charged with felony criminal mischief and trespassing on school ground.

The charges arose from an attempted break-in at about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 25 at Steinbrenner High, 5575 Lutz Lake Fern Road, Lutz.

Deputies said the three were determined to get inside and used anything they could get their hands on to break through the windows with no luck. As a result of their multiple failed attempts to get inside, they managed to cause at least $2,500 in damage to the glass window panes and door.

Deputies said the three turned themselves in after they were seen on local media reports. The sheriff’s office also received a tip from the public identifying them. None of them had ever attended Steinbrenner.
