APOLLO BEACH – Four suspects in several convenience store robberies were captured Friday (Fab. 8)  after they crashed an SUV in Apollo Beach during a chase that began in Manatee County, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are searching for three more suspects.

Brashon Dante Hall, 19, of Tampa, was charged with two counts of Robbery $300 or More but Less Than $20,000 and one count each of False Imprisonment (Kidnapping) and Wearing a Hood or Mask on Property of Another.

The other three who were captured are Eric Padilla, 17, Traequan Moore, 17, and Frankie Cuevas, 16. They were charged with number of crimes including attempted armed robbery of a person, robbery of a business and fleeing and attempting to elude police.

Deputies said that, about 3:05 a.m. Friday, seven males, all wearing hooded sweatshirts pulled over their heads, drove up to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 6190 U.S. 41 N in Apollo Beach. They tried to rob a clerk who was standing outside the store. The suspects then entered the store and stole about $600 worth of cigarette cartons and an unknown amount of lottery tickets.

The men arrived in two vehicles, a four-door white Toyota Camry and a silver Acura MDX.

At about 4:05 a.m., deputies were notified that a pursuit was heading into Hillsborough County from Manatee County. Information from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said the pursuit was based on a
business robbery where multiple males stole cigarettes. Four suspects in an Acura MDX were seen continuously throwing cigarettes out of the vehicle during the course of the pursuit.

The pursuit ended when the driver of the Acura lost control of the vehicle at U.S. 41 N and Falls Boulevard in Apollo Beach. The second 4-door white sedan, a Toyota Camry, was lost in Manatee County during the pursuit.

Another convenience store robbery occurred around the same time in Hillsborough County at a Circle-K, 5901 Memorial Highway in Tampa. At about 3:07 a.m., three unknown males entered the store with
their faces covered and wearing gloves. The suspects jumped the sales counter and began loading tobacco products into two large rubber storage containers. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot.

It is unclear at this time if the arrested suspects are linked to other early morning convenience store robberies in other jurisdictions. An investigation is ongoing.
