A 24-year-old mother was killed and her 21-month-old daughter was seriously injured, the Tampa Police Department said.

TAMPA – Three Tampa residents were arrested in connection with a crash today (May 23) on Bayshore Boulevard that killed a mother and seriously injured her baby daughter, the Tampa Police Department said.

Jessica Reisinger, 24, of Jeromesville, Ohio, died at Tampa General Hospital where she was taken after the crash. Her daughter, Lillia Raubenolt, 21 months, also of Jeromesville, was taken to Tampa General with serious injuries.

Cameron Coyle Herrin, 18, of Tampa, the driver of one of the cars, was charged with one count each of street racing, vehicular homicide, and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.

John Alexander Barrineau, 17, also of Tampa, the driver of the other car, is also facing charges of street racing, vehicular homicide, and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.

Tristan Christopher Herrin, 20, of Tampa, was a passenger in Cameron Herrin’s car. He is charged with one misdemeanor count of street racing. He is being charged under Florida Statute 316.191(2), which says that it is illegal for a driver to engage in racing and that it is also illegal to “knowingly ride as a passenger in any such race, competition, contest, test, or exhibition.”

The crash happened about 11:43 a.m. at Bayshore Boulevard and W Knights Avenue. Police said Cameron Herrin was driving a 2018 Ford Mustang north on Bayshore. Witnesses told police the Mustang was traveling at a high rate of speed and was racing another northbound vehicle. The other vehicle engaged in the racing was a Nissan driven by Barrineau.

Witnesses told officers that, at times, the cars were side by side, and at other times they switched places and switched lanes.

The Mustang driven by Cameron Herrin struck Mrs. Reisinger and Lillia, who were crossing Bayshore near W Knights. Police said Mrs. Reisinger was pushing her daughter in a stroller when they both were struck.
