Bloodstained Man Walks Up to Pasco Deputy, Confesses

He is accused of murdering his wife in Jacksonville, Pasco deputies said.

WESLEY CHAPEL – A man accused of murdering his wife in Jacksonville is in jail after talking with a Pasco deputy, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

A Pasco deputy was leaving the Race Trac at 27140 SR 56 in Wesley Chapel about 4:10 a..m. Saturday (Oct. 6)  on his way back to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by a man who had what appeared to be blood all over the front of his clothes.

The man was identified as Marco Stephens, 29. Deputies said Stephens made incriminating statements about a crime in Jacksonville and also said he was going to kill himself, but decided to turn himself in instead.

Pasco deputies detained Stephens and called the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, which sent deputies to Pasco to arrest Stephens and charge him with the murder of his wife.
