LARGO – A Belleair man has been accused of stalking and molesting a 12-year-old girl when she got off her school bus, according to the Largo Police Department.

Abdulla Ndregjoni, 72, of Belleair, was charged with one count each of Aggravated Stalking on a Child Under 16 Years of Age and Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.

Police said the girl complained to officers Thursday (Feb. 21) that Ndregjoni had repeatedly followed and harassed her for several weeks. When detectives talked with the girl on Friday (Feb. 22), she gave them a copy of a video she had taken of Ndregjoni walking away. That was the only identifying information detectives had because Ndregjoni and the girl did not know each other.
suspect at that point. The victim and suspect did not know one another.

On Friday, detectives performed surveillance of the school bus stop at 15th Avenue NW and Clearwater-Largo Road N, where Ndregjoni had not only followed, but inappropriately touched the girl, the day before.

Police said they saw Ndregjoni stalking her and trailing her to her apartment complex. Detectives immediately arrested Ndregjoni, who, they said, admitted to repeatedly following, attempting to kiss, and touching the breast of the 12 year old. Ndregjoni said he knew she was under 16 years old.

The Largo Police are asking that anyone whose child may have been stalked by Ndregjoni to contact the department.
