Pinellas Schools Help Families ‘Fall into Reading’

“Fall into Reading” night will offer tips to parents on improving their children’s reading skills.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas County Schools Title I Center will hold its “Fall into Reading” night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday (Nov. 17) at the Title I Center, 2499 25th St. S, St. Petersburg.

There will be a short discussion and presentation on the importance of family engagement and parents will create an “at home” reading strategy kit. Dinner will be served to all participants and there will be free giveaways and books.

A Title I Schoolwide Program is a comprehensive reform strategy designed to upgrade the entire educational program in a Title I school with 40 percent poverty or more. It allows the school to address the educational needs of all children so every student achieves high levels of academic proficiency
