SEMINOLE – Pinellas County officials have scheduled a neighborhood meeting to provide information about an intersection improvement study in the Seminole area.

The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday (July 30) in the gymnasium of Seminole High School, 8401 131^st St. N, to discuss the intersection improvement preliminary engineering study, which includes three intersections and the adjoining roads at:

• 131st Street and 82nd Avenue N
• 131st Street and 86th Avenue N
• 125th Street and 86th Avenue N

The adjoining roads provide access to four schools: Bauder Elementary, Seminole Middle, Seminole High, and the Career Academies of Seminole.

The meeting format is an open house with no formal presentation. The project team will display project information and answer questions about the study. The purpose of the proposed project is to enhance safety and provide for a higher capacity corridor to better meet future transportation demands for all users, including vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. The study will form the basis for road work at these intersections as construction funds become available in the future.Residents are encouraged to participate in the study.
