The Pinellas school system is offering a free workshop to show you how.

PINELLAS COUNTY -The Pinellas School District will offer a workshop aimed at helping parents to assist and enhance their child’s learning from 8 a.m. – noon Saturday (Feb. 6) at Countryside High School, 3000 SR 580, Clearwater.

Called Parent University, the session is a free program and presents informational sessions that help parents and caregivers support the academic life of children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Parent University will offer sessions focused on STEM, effective strategies for helping every child succeed in reading and math, transitioning from middle school to high school, a college planning workshop and the use of Khan Academy and other online learning tools. District personnel will be at the session to assist and answer parent questions.

Childcare for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade will be provided to all who preregister for the event. To register, go to all4schools.org. For information about Parent University, call (813) 274-0968.
