S.S. White Technologies has relocated from New Jersey to Seminole.

SEMINOLE – Rahul Shukla, president and CEO of S.S. White Technologies, the world’s leader in flexible shaft technology, announced he has relocated his company’s international headquarters from Piscataway, New Jersey to Seminole.

The relocation is expected to bring 125 jobs to Pinellas County. S.S. White currently employs 116 staff at its new Florida headquarters.  .

The company will base its headquarters operations, manufacturing, research and development at a 90,000-square-foot facility at 8300 Sheen Drive in Seminole.

“Moving a manufacturing plant from New Jersey to Seminole was a huge task, but well worth it. We feel very welcome in Pinellas County,” Shukla said. “We’ve hired 80 well-qualified employees in the factory and our offices. We find the weather and the community very hospitable, taxes less painful and the sunsets magical. My only regret is that we didn’t move to Florida many years earlier.”

S.S. White specializes in manufacturing for aircraft, automotive and medical products. Every aircraft flying today, with the exception of Russian aircraft, has at least one part manufactured by S.S. White. In addition to its new headquarters in Seminole, the company has operations in the United Kingdom and India.

The company was founded in 1844 and is one of the oldest manufacturing companies in the U.S. Shukla first began working for S.S. White in 1973 as a quality engineer and purchased the company with his partners in 1988.  He has transformed S.S. White into the leading global provider of flexible shaft technology with an emphasis on innovation, personalized customer service, dedication to his staff and an unrelenting work ethic.

“We’re honored to welcome Rahul and his team at S.S. White to Pinellas County. It is easy to see the passion he has for his products, his process and especially his people,” Pinellas County Commissioner Ken Welch said. “I want to say thank you for choosing Seminole and continuing S.S. White’s commitment to manufacturing excellence within our community.”

Seminole Mayor Leslie Waters said, “Seminole is proud to be the new home of S.S. White’s international headquarters. The Seminole community, Rahul and S.S. White share a commitment to our community, service and hard work. We think it is a perfect match.”

Pinellas County, in partnership with the city of Seminole, Duke Energy and the state of Florida, competed against sites in New Jersey to win this relocation project.

“Manufacturing is an essential part of our Pinellas County economy,” said Mike Meidel, director of Pinellas County Economic Development. “We’re honored to add S.S. White, a storied company that has become a leading innovator in a very competitive sector, to our business community.

S.S. White Technologies believes that its team’s hard work makes the company the worldwide leader in flexible shaft technology. Employees thrive in a fast-paced environment that is geared towards initiative, drive and creativity. To explore career opportunities at S.S. White Technologies, go to
