Here’s what’s happening in Seminole’s business community during November and December.

SEMINOLE – The outlook for Seminole’s business community is busy for the next few weeks.

The Seminole Chamber of Commerce highlights some of their events:

Wednesday (Nov. 1 and Nov. 8): “Anything and Everything You Wanted to Know About Medicare” Information from 2-3 p.m. at the Seminole Chamber conference center, presented by Carl Goodney, Florida Medicare Options. Please RSVP to the Chamber office: (727) 392-3245­

Thursday (Nov. 2): Chamber after hours social 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Garden Sanctuary, 7950 131st N. Bring your business cards to network and for raffle prize drawing.

Friday (Nov. 3): Chamber Shred-a-thon. Start gathering up your sensitive legal documents now to be shredded on from  9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the empty lot next to Sandra Lilo’s Dentistry – 8300 113th St. The truck will be there to shred while you wait, or drop off. Donation requested for bags or boxes of papers.

Friday: 1:30 p.m. groundbreaking for multi-purpose facility at Admiral Farragut Academy campus, 501 Park St. N., St. Petersburg (between the Michel and Duke Buildings, just east of the Roy Speer Student Center). Call: Jessica VanCuren (260) 437-5124

Saturday (Nov. 4): 1:30 p.m. city of Seminole Waterfront Park (Phase I) ribbon cutting and kayak/canoe launch, 10400 Park Blvd.

Saturday: 5 p.m. Blessed Sacrament Catholic School’s “Tricky Tray” event, $25 per person, 11501 66th Ave. For information, contact Christina Schumann at auction@bscschool.com

Saturday: 6 p.m. Rotary Club of Seminole 12th Annual Auction Party, Belleair Country Club, One Country Club Lane, (727) 461-7171. Email: councilor.bob@tampabay.rr.com Phone: (727) 409-6294. Tickets $100 and 100 percent of auction proceeds benefit the Rotary’s local programs.

Nov. 9: Pet Trusts – Is it right for you and your pets? Hosted by Dignity Memorial. Complimentary meal and educational seminar, 6 p.m. at SPCA Tampa Bay, 9909 130th Ave. N., Largo RSVP to David: (727) 710-2103

Veterans | Veterans Memorial | EventsNov. 11: A Veteran’s Day Celebration from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 9398 Oakhurst Road featuring the art of Sgt. Billy Guzak. Enjoy free food, art sale, door prizes and more. Go to facebook.com or call (727) 230-97. All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Nov. 11: American Legion Post 273 of Madeira Beach cordially invites you to attend the annual “Veterans Boat Parade” and Veterans Day Ceremony. This will be an “Open to the Public” day. The Boat Parade will begin at 10 a.m., with Post Officer Monte Palmer, a World War II veteran, as Grand Marshal. This will be followed by the Post 273 Honor Guard conducting the Ceremony at 11 a.m. In addition, Walgreens will provide Free Flu Shots to all veterans with a V.A. ID card.

Nov. 13: Turkey Trop Open House – a free dash and dine event from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Arden Courts of Seminole, 9300 Antilles Dr. RSVP: (727) 517-7800.

Nov. 17: Dance Party! From 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Come, enjoy the music and dance to the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, or just hang out. Admission is $15 at the door – Seminole Garden Apts. Peacock Conference Center, 8324 112th St.. BYOB. Light refreshments served. Co-sponsored by the Chamber & Seminole Garden Apts. Men’s Club.

Nov. 18: Seminole City Center, ribbon cutting 11:30 a.m. Events from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be a tent and stage close to Studio Movie Grill. Our event Additionally, there will be a kid’s stations for face painting and balloon animals, a fashion show for the adults and giveaways.

Dec. 1: Holiday Social at Barnhorn Financial, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., 8383 Seminole Blvd., Suite C

Christmas Tree | Holiday | Holiday DecorationDec. 1: Festival of Trees celebration, 6:30 p.m.– 9 p.m. at Brookdale Bay Pines Assisting Living, 9797 Bay Pines Blvd. Admission: canned/boxed food. To RSVP call: (727) 398-5090.

Dec. 2: Holiday Social at Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home,  5 p.m.-8 p.m. 9700 Seminole Blvd.

Dec. 7: Holiday Open House and Toy Drive, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Seminole Financial Center, 8200 113th St. N. Presented by Hartselle Insurance, CPA Partners, Scarr Insurance Group and Schuett Law Group. Live music, food, drinks and holiday treats. Please bring an unwrapped gift for a child in need or a cash donation.

Dec. 8: Seminole Lake Rotary Club’s Red Party, 6 p.m. -8 p.m. at Evans Hall, Chapel On the Hill, 12601 Park Blvd., Seminole,  combination holiday event and business party: seminolelakerotary.org.

Dec. 8: City of Seminole Winterfest
