iSocrates expects to create 50 new jobs over the next five years.

ST. PETERSBURG – iSOCRATES, the global leader in programmatic media and marketing planning and execution, announced that it will relocate its headquarters from Connecticut to St. Petersburg and expects to create 50 new jobs over the next five years.

“I am incredibly excited for the iSOCRATES expansion here in the Sunshine City,” St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman said. “Everything that is happening with this innovative, data analytics company is a shining example of our Grow Smarter strategy working and working well.

“This is a company that is doing well, investing in our community, and has a worldwide reach. I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome their expansion in our great city, and I thank our partners in the Pinellas County Economic Development office, and all our Economic Development colleagues, for making this possible.”

iSOCRATES began operations here recently, starting in St. Petersburg’s Rising Tide co-working space at 433 Central Ave. The company’s current roster of global clients includes CBS, News Corp, Entercom, the
Economist, Zeta Global, among others. The iSOCRATES senior team worked closely with St. Petersburg’s Economic and Workforce Development Department, the St. Petersburg Economic Development Corp., Pinellas County Economic Development, and Enterprise Florida.

“With our global headquarters expansion, we expect to hire 10 employees here by the end of 2019 and eventually grow our U.S. staff to a team of at least 50,” said William A. Lederer, chair and CEO of iSOCRATES.  “We believe Tampa Bay–and St. Petersburg, in particular–is the perfect environment for our growing, innovative digital company.”

Karen Seel, chair of the Pinellas County Commission, said, “We’re very pleased to welcome the iSOCRATES team to Pinellas County. The digital media industry continues to grow in our community, and we’re working actively to facilitate this sector’s expansion.”

To celebrate this announcement, iSOCRATES is kicking off Digital First Fridays, a new Meetup series in downtown St. Petersburg. This event brings together digerati to share, learn, discuss and network in the burgeoning data analytics, digital media and marketing, and technology professions in Pinellas County. The first meetup will be Friday (Feb. 1) at Rising Tide. It will feature Kriseman, Seel and the digital marketing heads of the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning.
