Brooksville Main Street Hires Former Mayor

Natalie Kahler will take over as executive director of Brooksville Main Street.

BROOKSVILLE – Former Brooksville Mayor Natalie Kahler has been chosen as the next executive director for Brooksville Main Street.

“Natalie Kahler’s accomplishments and resume matched the criteria we needed for our director,” said Cliff Manuel, Brooksville Vision Foundation president. “Combined with 20 years of service to our community she and her family have provided, she became the ideal candidate for all of us.”

Kahler has served in a wide variety of roles over the years.Her career has included management with Jostens Yearbook Co., teaching high school and middle school English, Journalism, and Bible classes at Hernando Christian Academy in Brooksville. She was part of the founding of Victorious Life Church in Spring Hill in 2006 and served as its operations pastor.

Kahler served as manager of Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Museum from 2015-2018, creating events for locals and growing the retreat business.  She has also been on the HYL Football executive board for 10 years, served for several years as a MOPS mentor, and founded a respite program for children with special needs.

She served one term on the Brooksville City Council and was Brooksville’s Mmyor in 2016.  Her diverse background made her an inventive and effective member of city council.

“One of the highlights of my term as mayor was traveling to Tallahassee to advocate for our acceptance in Florida’s Main Street Program,” Kahler said. “I have always believed Brooksville Main Street Program is a critical component in making Brooksville its best version of itself. I am honored to have been asked to be part of it. We are gifted with so much talent and believe we are making great progress in uniting it into a common goal.”

Brooksville Main Street is a program of the Brooksville Vision Foundation, in partnership with the city of Brooksville and Hernando County. The Main Street Program has brought a positive impact to many cities in Florida and across the nation. The Brooksville Vision Foundation realizes Hernando County community’s desire to have a thriving urban core; one that supports an active business environment, a place to recreate and a place proud to call home. The Brooksville Vision Foundation is accepting membership applications and pledges.
